Student Arrested For Threatening Violence At Maryland High School, Sheriff Says

A teen is facing charges following a potentially scary situation that played out at a Charles County high school on Tuesday, according to the sheriff's office.

On Nov. 19, an SRO at Henry E. Lackey High School was advised about a student who was yelling in the hallways that he was going to bring a weapon to school to harm another student.

According to officials, the School Resource Officer was able to locate the student in question, contacted their guardians and followed up with a home visit.

The student was charged on a juvenile offense report with disruption of school activities. He also faces disciplinary action in accordance with the Charles County Public Schools Code of Conduct.

No injuries were reported.
